Blue Zones

The areas known as "Blue Zones" (Sardinia in Italy, Okinawa in Japan, Ikaria in Greece, Nicoya in Costa Rica, and Loma Linda in California) are regions where people often live over 100 years in very good health. Studying these communities has led to identifying life principles, such as diet, regular physical activity, strong social relationships, and a clear sense of purpose, that contribute to longevity.
